If you could pass on any wisdom to your students, what would you share?
“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.” - Margaret Mead
Is there a Bible verse or quote/saying that you live your life by?
“You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.
“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven." -Matthew 5:13-16
What is your favorite lesson to teach in your class?
I love helping students find the book that sparks a reading passion. There are so many wonderful books in this world to be excited about. Creating passionate, lifelong readers who change the world through their words and reading knowledge is my ultimate goal!
What inspires you?
Surrounding myself with educational experts has always inspired me. SCS is filled with them! I am so excited to learn from all of my new coworkers and work together to make SCS the best it can be.
