How do you incorporate the SCS mission statement into your teaching?

In 6-8 English classes specifically, I am passionate about teaching and encouraging my students to glorify God in all that we write and speak while also writing competently, critically, and creatively.

Why did you want to become a teacher? Why do you teach at Siouxland Christian?

I am passionate about teaching the whole student, and at Siouxland Christian I am able to teach and support my students academically, emotionally, and spiritually. I am so excited to share with my students my love of reading and writing, as well as my love for our Creator and Savior.

What is your favorite lesson to teach in your class?

I love teaching students to use their favorite books and authors as models for their own writing, and helping them develop their own unique writer's voice.
