What is your favorite lesson to teach in your class?

I don't have a specific favorite lesson, but I love it when I can teach in such a way where the students are having fun and they almost don't realize they are learning or practicing a skill. One day a student blurted out in surprise after the lesson, "Oh, wait! I get it! We were working on (whatever topic). That was sneaky, Mrs. Pirrie!"

What inspires you?

I am inspired by encouraging words. They are important for all of us to hear and share. I am inspired by others' perseverance, enthusiasm, and joy. These are contagious. But mostly I am inspired by the truly amazing ways that God works in our lives!

Why did you want to become a teacher?

I have wanted to be a teacher since first grade! I love school and enjoy learning new and interesting things! I love kids of all ages and get so excited to be able to pass on my enthusiasm for learning to them.
