What do you do at Siouxland Christian? Why is your position important?

I get to serve our students who might need different support than they are currently receiving in the classroom. I can work with them to meet their needs in a variety of academic, behavioral, and social/emotional areas. This is important because it will allow our school to serve all different groups of students within God's kingdom.

Is there a Bible verse or quote/saying that you live your life by?

2 Corinthians 4:16 "Therefore do not lose heart, thought outwardly we are wasting away, inwardly we are being renewed day by day."

This is such an encouraging verse. It is a great reminder that no matter what happens to our physical bodies, the Lord is helping us become more and more like His Son. We are being sanctified.

What inspires you?

Friends and Family who have let God radically change them inside and out are so inspirational to me. It takes a lot of humility and vulnerability to undergo that change, but also share that journey with others. I know that I am not perfect; I know that no person is perfect. I still think it is terribly difficult to be that vulnerable. I am so inspired when people let God change them in a way that helps them become more like His son, no matter their starting place in life. I am continually working to do the same.
