If you could pass on any wisdom to your students?

To choose joy everyday. No matter the circumstance, you can choose joy! It's something that I've worked on in my life and continue to work on.

What inspires you?

I am inspired by my children. They make me want to be the best version of myself and strive for great things. They are my absolute world.

Is there a Bible verse or quote/saying that you live your life by?

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your mind in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7.

I love this verse because it is so easy to get caught up in the troubles of the world. I keep this verse as my armor and His peace always fills me.

Why did you want to become a teacher?

I wanted to become a preschool teacher because I have such a heart for our littlest members for the kingdom of God. Watching their eagerness for learning new things and the love they have in their hearts blesses my life! I want to teach at Siouxland Christian because being a part of this community and being involved in a christ-centered school is of upmost importance for myself and my family. Being able to start my day by praying with and over the children I am teaching is amazing.
